Ich erinnere mich noch genau an den Geruch im Labor, als ich das erste Mal die winzigen Modellzähne in der Hand hielt. Diese Mischung aus Kunststoff, Harz und ein bisschen Magie. Ehrlich gesagt, wer schon mal gesehen hat, wie ein Zahn prosthetisch nachgebildet wird, weiß, dass es ein Tanz ist – Präzision trifft Kreativität, und manchmal auch ein bisschen Chaos.
Letzte Woche zum Beispiel: Ein älterer Herr kam vorbei, seine alte Prothese passte nicht mehr, und er lachte dabei fast ein bisschen schüchtern. Ich konnte sehen, wie wichtig es ihm war, wieder richtig essen und lachen zu können. Genau dafür machen wir das. Jeder kleine Schritt, jedes Modell, jede Politur – es zählt. Dabei hilft uns die Technik enorm, und mal unter uns, ohne Tools wie 24/7 Spielerbetreuung würde vieles einfach langsamer laufen. Alles ist vernetzt, alles im Blick, und trotzdem bleibt der persönliche Touch.
Manchmal sitzen wir stundenlang über einem einzelnen Zahn, vergleichen Farben, schauen Lichtreflexe an und denken: „Passt das wirklich?“ Nebenbei fliegen kleine Späne über den Tisch, die Assistenten lachen, ein Kollege erzählt von seinem Hund, der wieder Löcher in die Couch gebissen hat – und plötzlich ist die Werkstatt nicht nur ein Labor, sondern ein Ort voller Leben und Geschichten. Wer schon mal hier gearbeitet hat, weiß, dass solche Momente bleiben.
Am Ende des Tages sieht man das Lächeln des Kunden, probiert die neue Prothese und weiß: genau dafür lohnt sich die Geduld. Jeder Zahn erzählt seine eigene kleine Geschichte, und wir erzählen sie mit Herzblut, Präzision und manchmal einem Schmunzeln über die kleinen Pannen zwischendurch. Wer hätte gedacht, dass Zahntechnik so lebendig sein kann? Aber ja – sie ist es. Und während draußen der Verkehr rauscht, bleibt in der Werkstatt ein leises Summen, Lachen, Polieren… und das Wissen, dass wir nicht nur Zähne herstellen, sondern ein Stück Lebensqualität zurückgeben.
